Amateur Radio!
In addition to many other hobbies, I'm an Amateur Radio Operator (Ham)! I was initially licensed in 1987 as KB8CKH and have been active to varying degrees ever since. I upgraded to Extra in fall 2024 and I'm currently enjoying operating SSB, RTTY, FT4, FT8 and a number of other modes. I also participate in SKYWARN for several counties and emergency and special event communications whenever I can.
