The South Haven South Pierhead Light is located at the mouth of the Black River near South Haven Michigan. The station was first lit in 1872 with a wooden structure. In 1903, the wooden structure was torn down and replaced with the cast iron structure which included a fifth order Fresnel lens. In 1913, the location was deemed unsatisfactory, and the lighthouse was moved 425 feet to the end of the pier.
